How do I add an image within my text with the Easy Editor?

Step 1: Upload Your Image

  1. Click 'Edit Page' on the toolbar.
  2. Click on the 'Click to put an image here'/'Click to Change' box.

  1. An image window opens up. Click on the 'Add Image' button.

  1. Click on any of the 'Browse' buttons and then your file manager opens. You need to doubleclick on your image file.

  1. Check off which folder you want your image to go into and then scroll down and click on 'Add Images to Library'.

  1. You will now see a thumbnail version of your image(s).

  1. Close the window.

 

Step 2: Posting Your Image

  1. The Image Properties window pops up. Click the 'Browse Server' button.

The Image Library window now opens. By default, uploaded images are placed in the 'Main Folder'. If the window does not open to the Main folder, click it, or the folder your image is saved to, in the 'Your Images' index at the top left of the window.

  1. Click on the thumbnail of your image. You'll be redirected to the originial Image Properties window, where you'll see that the image URL or location, as well as a preview of your image, have has been inserted.

You can now format your image or click 'ok' to place your image on the page.

 

Step 3: Formatting Images Within Your Text

You can easily format your image within the Image Properties window. If you've already placed an image within your text, select the image by clicking on it. Then click the 'Insert/Edit Image' button on the Easy Editor toolbar to open the Image Properties window. When you're finished making changes, click 'ok' at the bottom of the Image Properties window. Make sure to also click 'Save' on the editing page.

 

Alternative Text

Alternative Text is the text that pops up when you hover your mouse cursor over an image. To add Alternative text to your image, enter the text you'd like in the 'Alternative Text' field.

 

Resizing Uploaded Images

To resize your images, enter the width and height in the appropriate fields in the Image Properties window.

By default, the aspect ratio is locked so your image won't be skewed. You can unlock it by clicking the 'Lock' button beside the 'Width' and 'Height' fields.

You can also rotate the image by clicking on the 'Rotate' button.

 

Adding a Border

To add a black border to your image, enter a number into the 'Border' field. The larger the number, the larger the border.

You'll see a preview of the border in the preview pane.

 

Vertical and Horizontal Space Around Your Image

By default, when you place an image within you text, it's positioned like text, flush against the word beside it and on the same line. You can add extra space around the image with the horizontal, 'HSpace', and vertical, 'VSpace', fields. The larger the number you input, the larger the space.

A preview of the horizontal and vertical space you enter is shown in the preview pane.

 

Alignment

You can pick where you want your text placed in around the image by clicking the down arrow beside the 'Align' field and selecting an option from the dropdown menu.

Look at the preview pane to see which alignment you prefer.
